Arun Mazumdar (Managing Director), Dr.-Ing. Peter Romanow (CEO), and Prof. Dr. Gerhard Müller (Chairman of the Supervisory Board) officially inaugurated the new Muller-BBM Acoustic Technology facility in Pune, India, on May 21, 2026, following approximately two years of construction.

The Müller-BBM Group invested approximately € 12 million in the new Pune facility. In the future, this significantly larger facility will enable us to serve our customers worldwide with even greater precision: in addition to our existing markets in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, we will gradually expand to include projects in the North American market.

The new plant was specifically designed for the manufacture of large-scale industrial noise protection systems. State-of-the-art production and logistics areas ensure efficient processes and optimal working conditions.

Administration, development, and large parts of production are powered by electricity from renewable energy sources. The sustainability concept is complemented by extensive landscaping of the site. An intelligent shop floor and facility layout also enables particularly flexible and efficient use of the space. The new administration building and production facilities at the new location are in the process of being certified according to the criteria of the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).

“The integration of development, production, and logistics in Pune creates a high-performance and future-oriented industrial site with short distances and high competitiveness,” explains Peter Romanow. “The new site sustainably expands our capacities in international plant engineering and sets new standards in quality, efficiency, and innovation, particularly through the close cooperation of our sites in Germany, North America, and India in the field of plant engineering. The new offices in Pune also enable us to develop potential for additional services offered by the Müller-BBM Group in Asia.”

In addition to expanding its site in India, the Müller-BBM Group continuously invests in all of its global locations. The goal is to strengthen innovative capacity in the long term and create future-proof jobs. This underscores our clear commitment to sustainable growth and corporate responsibility.
